My Top Five Faves That Are Going Away

2. Daisy. It's perfect for spring, with a combination of different flowers providing the base. And it comes in a great jam jar.
3. Brazilian Rainforest Vanilla. The scent is complex and soft at the same time. Mine just burned on and on. And it's great to burn with a Ginger Lime tealight. What a combination!
4. Orange Blossoms: My mom says it smells EXACTLY like the bush that was planted in back of the house where she grew up. They would open the dining room window and let the breeze bring the fragrance all through the house. If you aren't lucky enough to have one of these bushes in your back yard, Gold Canyon can still fill your home with this scent.
5. Hobnail Easter Basket. If you decorate with yellows, it can be for any time of year. I filled mine with jelly beans. It's just adorable!
Discontinued Scents

Specialty: Jelly Bean, Marshmallow Confection, Sinful Strawberry Truffle, Destination Vanillas

Baked Pineapple
Easter is this Sunday, and I thought I would post my favorite recipe for this time of year: Baked Pineapple. It's SO easy!
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 large can crushed pineapple, well drained
2 eggs
5 slices bread, cubed
Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs and pineapple. Fold in bread. Bake at 350* for 1 hour.
If you love this recipe, you'll love our Pineapple Cilantro pillar, or Pineapple Coast votives.

Recycle and Reuse
Your candle jars can be used again!!! When you have 1/2" or less of wax in the jar, place it on a baking sheet in a 200 degree oven for approximately 30 minutes, or until the wax is liquified (jar will be HOT). Pour it into a disposable container that is heat safe. If the wicks still cling to the bottom, take a spoon and pull them out. Wipe out remaining wax with a paper towel. You can wipe the inside of the jar with wax remover, though it isn't necessary. Place on the top rack of the dishwasher and run them through with your other dishes. They can hold all kinds of things!

Happy Cleaning!

Essential oils clean as wonderfully as they smell. They have the ability to cleanse, disinfect and deodorize your home. Since ancient Greece and Rome, essential oils have been used for their cleaning, health and aromatherapy qualities. Here are just a few:
Clove – Used widely in the dental industry for its antiseptic and disinfectant qualities. Keeps insects away and kills mold.
Eucalyptus – Known for its stimulating and healing qualities as an antifungal and antiviral agent. Also known to deodorize.
Lavender – Thought to be an antifungal, antiviral floral used since Shakespeare’s time to calm, relax and deodorize.
Peppermint – Greeks and Romans crowned their heads with this mint as it was known to calm and stimulate, relieve pain, eliminate nausea and calm nervousness. Known for its anesthetic properties and cold remedy as a chest decongestant.
Rosemary – Has a reputation of energizing, stimulating and strengthening memory.
Sweet Orange – Used in fine fragrances for many years, historically as bridal decorations for the last century, it is also known to uplift and invigorate the senses.
